Natural History Museum (Cromwell Road, London) – along with the permanent (and permanently fascinating) dinosaur exhibition, this museum has a collection of the biggest, tallest and rarest animals in the world (such as a life-sized Blue Whale, and a 40-million-year-old spider) Visitors also flock to the museum’s beautiful Central Hall. Admission: free. Hours: 10 am – 5:50 pm (daily). Open late on the last Friday of the month.
